The objective of the sheme is to collect annual statistics of public library services through library association and other such suitable agencies by paying grant to the institutions/associations. The grant is considered on receipt of detailed proposal.
Assistance to Centrally Sponsored Libraries
The object of the scheme is to support the central/state govt. sponsored institutions/organisation and providing public library services in rural areas, so as to cover the universities, providing public libraries in the rural areas in the model of Palli Sanghatana Bivag, Vishwa-Bharati, Sriniketan.
In case of Palli Sanghatana Vibhag, Biswa Bharati, a duly constituted committee with a representative from the Foundation finalises the proposals for assistance under the scheme.
Centrally sponsored Institutions like Central Universities are cordially invited to participate in this scheme of the Foundation for promotion of public library service in the backward areas in particular.
