Shri K. K. Banerjee is currently the Director of Raja Rammohun Roy Library Foundation, Kolkata. He has been associated with the Foundation for the last 18 years. After doing his M.A. from Jadavpur University, he obtained the Bachelor of Library and Information Science Degree from Rabindra Bharati University. He participated in and contributed papers to national seminars. He has translated and edited a number of short stories of eminent writers of Urdu/Hindi into Bengali and has published a number of articles on history and public libraries . He is actively associated with a number of committees constituted by the government of India for strengthening library services in the country and also an active participant in the little magazine movement in Bengal.
