RRRLF is the nodal agency of Govt. of India for promoting public library services in India.                                                                                                                 It works in close collaboration with all states and union territories.                                                                                                                 Since date 31,274 libraries have been assisted under various schemes like construction of library building, increasing book-stock, centenary celebration, preservation, TV-VCP, computer for library application , children section, mobile library services, public library research etc.
